Jack “Buck” Wade, 88, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on September 22, 2019, at his home.

He was born on February 4, 1931, in Ironton, Ohio, son of the late William and Martha Quinn Wade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann; and five brothers, William, Elwood, Stanley, Gerald and Richard.

Jack retired as a pipefitter at Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood. He loved gardening, woodworking, and feeding the birds. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Before going into the Navy, he worked for the C & O Railroad.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Aldridge; children, Keith Wade, Brian Wade (Kelli); Barry Wade (Faith), and DeeAnn Knapp (Keith); grandchildren, Matthew Wade, Amber Sims (Jacob), Kristen Wade, Christopher McConaha (Candace), Logan Wade, and Hannah Wade; and four great grandchildren, Colten DeMoss, Alli Sims, Hayden Sims, and Kinsley Sims.

He had a special place in his heart for Augjai Smith, Gwen Gerwig, and Debbie Coulter.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery with full graveside military rites provided by Jackson County Honor Guard.

Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, September 26, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, time of service.
