John Allen Logan

January 13, 1959 - July 12, 2021

John Allen Logan, 62, of Marietta, Ohio, departed this life on July 12, 2021. Originally from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, he had relocated in West Virginia to be near his brother.

He was born January 13, 1959, in Columbus, OH, son of the late Carl O. (Bud) and Doris M. May Logan.

He attended the Ravenswood Church of Christ on Gallatin Street. He was a 1977 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. He loved football and was seriously injured playing for RHS. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, often watching the games while being connected to his sister and brother on the telephone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl (Bud) and Doris M. Logan; and grandparents, Albert and Ethel Logan of Portsmouth, Ohio; and R. Harold and Della O. May of Hebron, West Virginia.

Surviving is his sister, Karen (James) Pierce, Phoenix, AZ; his brother, Ronald L. (Marie) Logan, Parkersburg, WV; his wife, Jill M. Logan, Columbus, OH, his son, Travis A. Logan, Crestview, FL.; his daughters, Courtney N. (Bobby) Krafft, Groveport, OH and Tiffany J. Logan, Columbus, OH; his three grandchildren, Keelin Logan; Addison Krafft and Cooper Krafft, all residing with their parents in the Columbus, OH area; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was not perfect; he was human and like all of God’s children made many mistakes throughout his life. Nevertheless, he loved his family and his Christian brothers and sisters. John was confined to a nursing home the last several years of his life, he wanted to be able to spend time with his family and friends outside of the nursing home but sadly, was unable to because of his health problems.

An open casket funeral will be held on Thursday July15, 2021 at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV with visitation starting at 5:30 P.M and the funeral service beginning at 6:30 P.M. Brother Randall Thornhill of the Gallatin Street Church of Christ will be officiating. John will be interred in the Ravenswood, WV Cemetery at 10:00 am on Friday, July 16, 2021.
