Pauline Dickison Bostic

Pauline Dickison Bostic, 96, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully August 15, 2021 at the Arbors of Marietta. Born in Lorado, Logan County, West Virginia October 1, 1924, daughter of the late Edward Madison Dickison and Ethel Oney Dickison, she grew up in Man, West Virginia and graduated from Man High School.

Pauline ‘Paula’ had a distinguished career with the civil service, from 1967-1987 at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Beginning as a stenographer for the Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics office, next as admin to the Legal Branch of the US Army Garrison Special Troops Regiment, followed by admin to the Assistant Chief of Staff, then admin to the Commanding General, Judge Advocate and concluding as admin to the Chief of Staff, Headquarters, at retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William C. Bostic, Jr.; sister, Mayme Gore; and brother, James Edward Dickison.

She is survived by her sister Mariee Braun (Severn, Maryland), many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, August 20, 2021 at Roush Funeral Home, 205 S. Ritchie Ave, Ravenswood, WV. Burial will follow in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Pauline’s memory to the First United Methodist Church, 719 Flinn Ave, Ravenswood, West Virginia.
